What's New

• The main window is organized around what you want to do. The old toolbar-and-tabs layout is gone. A persistent sidebar on the left navigates between Home and three hubs — Organize, Clean, and Protect — plus All Tools for everything at once. Home greets you with live cards: your recent activity, how much space duplicates are taking, and one-click starts into each hub. Every tool is still exactly where the hub for its job suggests it should be.
• A Files sidebar you can open from any screen. Click Files in the top bar (or drag files onto the window) and a panel slides in where you can browse folders, stage files for organizing or protecting, and keep favorites — drag a folder onto Favorites or add one with the picker. The browser has a name filter and a hidden-files toggle, every row has a contextual menu, and the staged-file chips follow you to whichever screen acts on them. The Files button shows an honest count of what's staged.
• Encrypting is a real workflow now, not a single button. Protect has an in-page Encryption panel: choose the method, and when you have more than one security key, tick exactly the keys the file should be encrypted for. VaultSort remembers your last method choice. Selecting a single encrypted file offers the File Keys panel showing which keys can open it. Encrypt and Decrypt now enable and disable honestly based on what is actually selected — and a mixed selection of encrypted and unencrypted files says so instead of guessing.
• Recent Activity and Storage Analysis are full pages. Activity gets its own screen with redesigned operation history, and Storage Analysis moved out of its modal into a page with an Overview, the Explorer, Large Files, and Cleanup — with a Back button that returns to wherever you came from.
• The Clean hub tells you what the space actually is. Reclaimable space is attributed — "of duplicates found" rather than a bare number — the similar-images option is available right in Clean's duplicate scan, and Disk Tools has a tile in All Tools.
• Smaller comforts throughout. A News dot on All Tools when there are unread announcements, the upgrade option visible for free-tier users in the top bar, a wider and more visible scrollbar, and a larger default window that keeps the three job cards side by side.
• Suggest Categories carries its choices into the job. Accepting suggested categories now brings the OCR setting you derived them with into the job itself, so a job built from scanned images can actually read them. After a run, files the job could not read are listed plainly with the fix that usually applies.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed Auto Organize asking for the folder twice. Starting it from the sidebar with a folder already chosen could prompt for the folder again.
• Fixed the first right-click Encrypt or Decrypt from Finder doing nothing. The action could fire before the file finished staging, so the first attempt silently failed or acted on a previous selection.
• Fixed the staged-files count double-counting. A file staged for both organizing and protecting showed as two.
• Fixed encryption key lists going stale. Adding or removing a security key in settings now updates the Encrypt menu and key checklist immediately, without restarting.
• Fixed a cleared selection coming back from the dead. Rapidly replacing a staged folder could briefly resurrect the one you had just removed.
• Fixed the app window shrinking below a usable size. Leaving full screen could allow the window to collapse smaller than the layout supports.
• Fixed dark-on-dark text in the Files sidebar and low-contrast modal headers.
• Fixed page bottoms rendering without their margin, so content no longer sits flush against the window edge — and the footer on Windows now says "your Windows PC" instead of "your Mac".
• Fixed a derived category saving with no keywords. A suggested category whose files share vocabulary only in their names — a folder of prescriptions, say — now takes its keywords from those filenames, so image files can still be claimed by name when OCR is off. Spreadsheets whose cells are single words also extract properly now instead of being skipped as unreadable.
