Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using VaultSort, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this App.

License to Use

VaultSort grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on macOS and Windows in accordance with these Terms. There are two kinds of paid license:

Personal license

A personal license is for one person. That person may:

• Install and use the App on up to six devices they own or control, in any mix of Mac and Windows
• Use the App for personal or commercial file management, including for their own work or their own business
• Create backups of their data processed through the App

Business license

A company, firm or other organization that provides the App to its employees or contractors needs a business license. A business license covers the number of devices in its plan, one device per seat, used by anyone the organization authorizes. A seat can be moved to another device by removing the license from the old one.

Personal licenses bought before October 7th, 2026 keep the terms they were sold under, including use by an organization on the devices the license allows.

Business Subscriptions

• Business licenses are sold as yearly subscriptions and renew automatically at the end of each year until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time; the license stays active until the end of the year already paid for.
• We will tell you about any price change at least 30 days before the renewal it applies to.
• Founding customers: if you subscribed before June 30, 2027, your renewals stay at the price you first paid for the same plan, for as long as the subscription stays active without a gap.
• If a subscription ends, each device returns to the free version of the App. Nothing is deleted: your files stay where they are, and files you encrypted with the App can still be opened.

User Responsibilities

As a user of VaultSort, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have appropriate backups before using file deletion features
• Understanding the implications of secure deletion and encryption features
• Using the App in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Not using the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Maintaining the security of your devices and user accounts

Payment and Billing

VaultSort is sold through our website. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and issues receipts and invoices. By making a purchase, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms and conditions. We do not see or store your payment card details.

Refund Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with VaultSort. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase, subject to the following conditions:

• Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the original purchase date, or for a business subscription, within 30 days of a renewal
• Refunds are processed through the original payment method
• To request a refund, contact us at support@vaultsort.com
• Processing time for refunds is typically 3-5 business days

After a refund is processed, the refunded license stops working and the App returns to its free version on the devices that used it.

Data and Privacy

The App processes your files on your own device and does not upload them to us. It does send anonymous usage and diagnostic data, which you can turn off in Settings, and it contacts our payment provider to check your license. Optional AI features send data only to an AI provider you choose to connect. For complete details about our data practices, please review our Privacy Policy. By using VaultSort, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

VaultSort is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. While we strive to provide a reliable and secure application, we cannot guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted. You use VaultSort at your own risk, and we strongly recommend maintaining backups of important files before using file modification features.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VaultSort and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to VaultSort immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately, and you must uninstall the App from all your devices.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which VaultSort operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our App after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
