VaultSort runs on Macs with Apple silicon or Intel, and on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11. Here is exactly what each one needs.

macOS
Stable release
- macOS 12 (Monterey) or newerEarlier versions lack the API capabilities VaultSort relies on for privileged helper tools and security attestation.
- Apple silicon or IntelOne universal download runs natively on both: Apple silicon (M1 or newer, including the Pro, Max and Ultra chips) and Intel Macs.
- A few features need moreEverything else works on every supported Mac. On-device AI (Smart Categorize, suggested categories, the Smart Auto Organize recipe and Guardian's classification by meaning) needs Apple silicon and macOS 14 or later. Apple Intelligence needs Apple silicon and macOS 26. Redacting PDFs, and password-protected PDFs in Send Securely, need macOS 13 or later.
Windows

- Windows 10 or Windows 11Both are supported, with a File Explorer context menu on each.
- 64-bit (x64)There is no Arm build for Windows on Arm devices.
