How to Find and Delete Backups on Mac
The Built-in macOS Method
Go to Apple Menu > System Settings > General > Storage. Look for "iOS Files" in the list. You can select and delete old backups directly from there to free up Mac disk space.
The Manual Finder Method
Open Finder, press Shift+Cmd+G, and paste: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup. Each folder here is a backup stored on your Mac. Check the "Date Modified" to see which ones are ancient.
Delete Old Software Updates
Sometimes your Mac keeps the installer file for iOS updates. These can be 5GB each. They are usually stored in ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates.
