VaultSort is now on Windows after a month of beta, and it's the first stable Windows release. Windows users get the full app: the Vault, Storage Analysis, Advanced Organize, duplicate finding, encryption with security keys and Windows Hello, and secure delete. Updates arrive automatically, same as on the Mac.
- 4 also adds some of the most useful tools we've shipped so far.
✨ Auto Organize: sort a messy folder in one click
Pick a recipe and VaultSort shows you the whole plan before it moves a single file:
- By type, by date, screenshots & photos, archive old files
- By source: group your Downloads by where they came from
- Smart: reads what's inside your files and sorts by content
Like how a run turned out? Keep it as a rule, or put it on a schedule so your Downloads folder tidies itself. Undo is always free, and the everyday recipes are free too. The smart and by-source recipes are premium, and you get three free tries.
🧹 Empty Folders: a free cleaner
Years of moving things around leave empty folders everywhere. The new Empty Folders tool finds them and sends them to the Trash, with undo if you change your mind. It's free for everyone.
🎛️ Operations: one panel for everything that takes a while
Disk erases, free-space wipes, duplicate scans, secure deletes, encrypting, Vault imports and moves are now all tracked in a single Operations panel.
- Stop almost any of them, including a free-space wipe or a disk erase
- Quit protection: VaultSort tells you what's running before it closes
- Progress in the Dock or taskbar, plus a notification when a job finishes
- Honest erase confirmations that name exactly which drive, partition, or volumes will be wiped
🔐 A better Vault
- Preview images, PDFs, text, and now video without exporting. Files are decrypted in memory only.
- Move your Vault to another folder or an external drive
- Better notes: a paper-style editor, colour tags, an outline for long notes, find and replace, and search across every folder
- Recovery codes can now cover files you encrypted before you had one
💸 30% off until October 8th
VaultSort is on sale for $17.49, down from $24.99. The sale ends October 8th, and then the price goes back up.
If you've been meaning to grab it, or you know someone with a cluttered Downloads folder, now's the time. Forward this email to a friend. It's a great deal for a very short window.
Thanks for being part of this,
Justin
